Food Mood?

Siiigh I love the food in Perú and it loves me (my hips!)

I never thought a potato would be so good.  I will say though that the concept of corn on the cob with an accompanying slice of cheese doesn´t really do it for me though.

"Lomo a lo pobre"

In the foreground is a plate called “Lomo a lo pobre” which teams up a piece of steak, french fries, a hot dog, and a fried egg. I believe this cost $2. Above that is an exotic dish called a “chicken salad sandwich.”

Best iced tea ever

The restaurant at the Museo Larco makes the best iced tea ever. They shake it with fresh lime juice.

Fancy Peruvian food

Jenny’s meal at a fancy restaurant we went to in Lima. In the bowl is fried rice, a type of “chifa” or Peruvian Chinese food.

Lamb with sweet potato risotto

Delicious.

Chicarron sandwich

The Chicarron sandwich comes with pork, sweet potato, and an onion relish. It was phenomenal.

Better than an apple pie

For dessert, a yuca and sweet potato pie. McDonald’s apple pie has nothing on this. One of the best desserts ever.
